(Photo by Thanarak Khunton)A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly snatching valuables worth 600,000 baht from a newlywed nurse from Myanmar at a food shop in Bangkok. Songkhram Chanama was apprehended in Bangkok on Friday on theft charges, said Pol Maj Gen Sompong Chingduang, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau during a Saturday news briefing where several of the stolen items were displayed. She told police the stolen items were her wedding gifts. The victim will return later to Bangkok to identify the suspect and check the stolen items.
